I would like to share with you some interesting information about the new PET bottle cap and recycling.

Did you know that PET bottles actually contain three different types of plastic?
1. First, we have the PET from which the bottle itself is made.

2. Then, there is the other type of plastic that the stopper and its supporting ring is made from.

3. And of course, we can’t forget the label.

But here’s an interesting thing: in the recycling process, all three types of plastic are separated automatically. So when we collect PET bottles for recycling, we don’t need to clean the label or remove the cap. They should remain on the bottle. If they were to come off, the components would be too small and would be lost in the sorting stage, ending up either in landfill or, at best, incineration.

That’s why companies such as Coca Cola, Borsec and others have recently introduced an ingenious innovation: a system whereby the cap stays attached to the glass. This clever solution ensures that all caps remain attached to PET bottles and end up with them in recycling plants.

I have noticed that online there are different consumer opinions on this innovation, some favorable, some less so. But I think it is an excellent idea to protect the environment and increase recycling.

I hope that this information has also made you curious about the PET bottle recycling process and environmental innovations. It is important to be aware of our impact on the planet and to support initiatives that help conserve and recycle our resources.
